Greetings all. I have been very quite for the past couple of months. There has been a lot to deal with, as I have been a home owner now for 1 full year. It’s taken a lot of focus and doing as owning a home is a very first for me. But also, I have been writing my novella, and it needs a lot of attention. In the interests of venting what I need to, speaking my mind and sharing to my present and future reading public, I decided to write this article you see before you. The simple and complex truth is, I am building a myth. Our spaces as Black people, are short of myths that surround them. For example London, New York and Los Angeles all have heroes, villains , vampires, ghouls and witches inhabiting them. They have myths attached to their history and physical universe. Who, then, will Write the (South) African myth? I decided I would be the one. As it, we are imagining a world for our selves. And this world must be spread and read via every medium possible. The work I am Writing is based in Afrika, or a version thereof. It has been a work of Magick, Science Fiction and Political Science. I’ve been editing and reworking the novella, for that is what it is. That’s where my time has been. The hues and textures of the book are fully South African. I am still undecided as to translate the multilingual parts or to leave it as is. So close to the end. Here’s the back of the book I wrote some of it in. But there is more to it. And I need just a bit more time to get it just right. I have a feeling that the future shall shine brighter with this novella in it. Sun worship, psychedelics, Gods, love and lust, among other things. So many subjects are being explored. I just wanna know that I am putting my effort where it matters. I even shut down my Facebook and really got so much time to work. I hit pubs and bought extra size beer to Write to. Took time to get thae feel of a drinking place again. For there is a wonderful space of drinking in the novella. The working title is The Pub ,for now. I am waiting on some cover Art as well as still transcribing what seems to be the last 15 pages of it. Seems.
